Barfers of the World Unite???!!!

Just finished reading sue's blog. O boy...

Noone forced me into feeding my dogs BARF. If it is, it's prolly my dog, francesca. She nearly died from tick fever. The vet said the antibiotics might or might not work for her. She just whelped her first litter and the puppies were barely a month old . She was also anemic and extremely weak. She was also severely underweight and malnourished. The puppies drained everything out of her.. O.. and she had very very bad skin allergies, it would be filled with pus and they would burst and the skin would be all sticky. You couldn't imagine how she looked then..

Right, I was feeding her a brand of commerical dog food. And it was prolly one of the better ones out there at tht time. Cos i read the top dogs in Singapore were fed on it.

At tht point in time, I made the choice to switch her completely to raw food with supplements and threw the antibiotics out of the window.

Within 2 weeks, I could see she was getting better (coat and size wise).. She looked healthier, her eyes didnt look so dull anymore.

Within a month, she was back to her normal happy self and became more active than before. Everyone remarked how different she looked and behaved. That was when I decided to go FULL BARF for her.

Now, after her second litter.. the same people were surprised at how fast she recovered, compared to the 1st one. She never had any difficulties with whelping. As far as I know, dogs that are in BARF are less likely to undergo C-section.

Never did he once force anyone to go into BARF. If you aren't comfy with the idea of raw, he still reccommends cooked. (at least its way better than kibbles)

If u still arent comfy, you're free to feed kibbles and he WILL STILL give advice if u need it.

I dunno whats the deal with the BARFERS will shun NON BARFERS thingy.. wa lao. thts like too extreme liao right? Siao!

Where got like tht one? Ultimately, its still your dog. You make the choice. Nobody will shun nobody la.

Maybe its a mistake for me to keep pestering orangeman to go take a look at Sweetie. argh.

ya ya Strikes AGAIN!!

Finally got orangeman to visit Sue and have a look at Sweetie.

Sweetie is gonna start on a all BARF diet with supplements. Hopefully, that'll help her.

Shelly took the shortest time to warm up to people..

She used to be SO SO SHY!! now she's not as bad anymore. She actually approaches people to sniff sniff. hehe. She's so pretty. She doesnt like Sky tho. Tht boy kept bugging her. FATAL ATTRACTION, SKY!!! hahaa
